Case Manager Supervisor - RN

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Case Manager Supervisor, you will be responsible for working with assigned members and assessing, facilitating, planning and advocating health needs on an individual basis.  This position will be responsible for the supervision of other Case Managers and Disease Management Nurses.  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Basic mathematical and statistical ability
• Must be well organized
• Knowledge of utilization review procedures/managed care
• Knowledge of current health care practices and appropriate treatments of providers and services offered
• Ability to work independently or with others (physicians, healthcare staff, etc.)
• Must have excellent customer service skills
• Strong initiative to continually improve processes and relationships
• Demonstrated team-oriented behavior

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates degree or diploma
• Valid Indiana State Registered Nurse License
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing - preferred
• Certification in Case Management (CCM) - preferred

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

• 5 years medical case management experience
• 1-3 years of related work experience in a managed care environment
• A minimum of one year experience as Utilization Management Nurse in CMCS’ Medical Management department – preferred
